First Project Ever! DIY No Sew

Alrighty guys. I'm still trying to get this blogging thing down, so bear with me here. The sewing machine is still on its way, but I decided I didn't really want to wait and there are plenty of no sew projects. So I decided to tackle this one here: No Sew, Lattice, Stud T-shirt DIY

If you're too lazy to check it out yourself, (don't worry, I totally understand) here's what it looks like:

Looks pretty cool. I'm not that much into shiny things, but the studs actually look pretty good on the shirt.

The poster used a V-neck T-shirt, but unfortunately all my T-shirts are scoop necks. In any case, I decided to use one of my favorite band's concert T-shirt.

And I got the studs from a craft shop here in Chiba (Japan). I thought they would have more to choose from, but at least I got some. It's kind of odd that they look like tiny robot insects.

So I tried to follow the instructions to the letter, but of course as this is my first project and I'm a total klutz, I accidentally cut one of the pieces in half...(>_<)

Like I said, I don't have any V-necks and it looked a little weird when I was finished, so I added some more studs under the scoop.

So here's the finished project. I know, it looks a lot more different than the original. My T-shirt isn't as long, so I'm thinking instead of tying it, I'll just cut slits on both sides and maybe sometime in the future when I get my sewing machine, add some fabric to give it a little bit of flare. I'll post a picture when I finish it.

Just a side note, the studs took a lot longer to put in than I thought, and it might have been because they were a little small. So, if you're planning on trying it, you might want to get some bigger studs.

So how does it look? Any comments would be great! Thanks for reading! If you try it yourself, let me know how it goes!
